Check This Out: Amazing Updated 'Girls of James Bond' Infographic
"Shaken, not stirred." Ohh those Bond Girls. One staple of the series that can never, and will never change - the Bond Girls, the bombshell beauties who play double agents, henchman, or stunning debutantes who can't resist the charm of 007. Everyone has their favorite, everyone has their guilty pleasure, and everyone has their least favorite, too. This new infographic created by Cable TV called Girls of James Bond (found in SlashFilm's Page 2) is the definitive, the ultimate, James Bond Girls guide, for all 23 of the Bond movies, including Skyfall. I wanted to save this until closer to Skyfall's release, but it's too damn good to pass up. ›››

Mondo Unveils Tom Whalen's Beautiful Poster for Pixar's 'Toy Story'
There was an awesome run of a small batch of great posters from various artists through Mondo leading up to the release of The Avengers, and the collectible arthouse loves to release special posters in conjunction with certain films hitting theaters. However, sometimes it's their artwork that reaches back decades for new posters that truly impresses and that seems to be the case with Tom Whalen's new poster for Toy Story, a truly stunning piece of work that pays tribute to the toys of Andy's room from the first feature length computer animated film that hit theaters all the way back in 1995 (I know, I can't believe it either). Look! ›››

Watch: 'The Eagleman Stag' Stop-Motion Award-Winning Short Film
Earlier this year we featured the entire Oscar winning animated short film (The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore) and, despite my love for Pixar and their film La Luna, it was easy to see why it won the Oscar. It's the same case here again, with the short that won the 2011 BAFTA for Best Animated Short, titled The Eagleman Stag about "Peter Eagleman", made by UK animator Mikey Please. The short is beautifully stop-motion animated and made out of this white, foam that adds a very unique aesthetic to the overall story. I always love discovering great work like this and I highly suggest seeing the entire film below. ›››

Check Out Kinetix's Expensive 'Dark Knight Rises' Shirts from Kitson
The Fire Rises! We should probably just make a new "Merch" category specifically for The Dark Knight Rises. On top of the t-shirt contest held by Design By Humans, which just announced their winner, there is another high fashion shop revealing their own line of Dark Knight Rises apparel. These were discovered by Collider, who found a display from Kitson in Santa Monica featuring lots of shirts inspired by Batman, including a few of Catwoman, created by designer "Kinetix". The unfortunate part is that they cost $48, which is a bit too expensive for my tastes, especially when even DBH sells for $22. That said, they are cool. ›››

It's high time for Marvel Studio's The Avengers, as the studio is finally ready to unleash this fanboy wet dream superhero team-up worldwide this week - and the best news of all is that it turned out awesome. That means any and every piece of marketing, plus fanboy masterwork, and any other artwork related to the movie has just about hit the web—and a few galleries—in time for its launch. There's so much hitting, I've decided to roll everything up and feature a few favorites. Starting with, of course, Mondo's final Avengers poster in their series, this one a Tyler Stout creation and boy is it gorgeous. There's also a massive gallery of art from Gallery 1988's Avengers show, and a fantastic gallery of fan art as well, to round everything out. ›››

'Skyfall' On Set: Observing a Bond Shoot Out First Hand in Istanbul
For as long as I can remember, as long as my dad has shown me movies, I've been a James Bond fan. I've seen all 22 multiple times, own well-worn copies of all of them on VHS, DVD, everything. Bond has always been one of my favorite series. I've dreamt of one day stepping into his world, visiting Pinewood Studios, but I never thought, one sunny April afternoon, that I would literally find myself standing on the set of a James Bond film. In the middle of an action scene. In the middle of a crowded marketplace in Eminönü in Istanbul... waiting for Bond to grab his Walter PPK and fire off shots. But somehow, this dream came true. ›››

InGen's 'Jurassic Park' Dinosaur DNA Can Be Yours for Only $5,000!
While I'm sure people around the world would be willing to pay an exorbitant amount of money to actually venture into Jurassic Park, we're just going to have to settle for the blockbuster films on the big screen. Jurassic Park IV is apparently on the way with Steven Spielberg producing, and the original film will return to theaters in 3D for the film's 20th anniversary, but for those die-hard fans of the adventure 65 million years in the making, there's a special treat for you on the internet. If you've got $5,000 lying around the house, you can get your hands on the actual dinosaur DNA that Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) tried to steal. ›››

Check Out These Superheroes from A to Z with the Help of Helvetica
For those who don't know just how prominent the font known as Helvetica has become in advertising and art, you might want to take a gander at the documentary of the same name (available to Watch Instantly on Netflix) which takes an in-depth look at the history and use of the font in mass media. Now French graphic design student René Mambembe has created a series of A to Z posters featuring superheroes in Helvetica font. Well, they're not all superheroes as there's one for Alien and another for Terminator and other famous sci-fi characters, but this is still a cool collection of nerd art. ›››

Time to Cry as 'Shaun of the Dead' LEGO Set Officially Turned Down
Some fans were pretty excited about the prospect of an officially licensed LEGO set commemorating the infamous climax of Shaun of the Dead in the Winchester Pub coming closer to a reality. The custom created set comes from Gregory Coquelz, or Yatkuu as he's now known online and a site called Cuusoo where a community of LEGO fans vote on custom sets, received the necessary 10,000 votes of support in order to go before a real LEGO jury to determine whether or not they want to put the set into production. Sadly the official decision is in and it looks like we won't be getting any red on our LEGO sets anytime soon. ›››

See a Trio of Vintage Travel Posters Featuring 'Ghostbusters' and More
Back in 2010 we featured a small series of vintage travel posters highlighting the fictional locations of Metropolis, Gotham City and Neo Tokyo from talented graphic artist Justin Van Genderen. He even used New York as a location, but used fictional heroes like Spider-Man to make it fantastical. Now he's delivered another fantastic trio of similar posters with a new variation on New York that will be easily recognizable to those of us who have always wanted to wear a positron collider, not to mention a Yippee-Ki-Yay worthy take on Los Angeles and a classic take on Chicago that's all so f*cking hysterical. See what I mean below! ›››

Florence + the Machine Delivers 'Snow White & the Huntsman' Song
Sometimes, I'm somewhat annoyed with the artists chosen to contribute songs to film soundtracks. For example, if you haven't already heard, Will Smith will not be doing the traditional theme song for Men in Black III and the responsibilities have instead been handed over to Pitbull, who made a dreadful song called Back in Time (I dare you to listen to the whole thing here). But Taylor Swift crafted an awesome song for The Hunger Games (which has one hell of a soundtrack including Once musician Glen Hansard) and now Florence + the Machine have a song for the Snow White and the Huntsman soundtrack. Listen! ›››

Target Craftily Assembles Store Products to Promote 'The Avengers'
Yesterday brought news of a new art exhibition at Gallery 1988 honoring The Avengers when the film is released next weekend, and Mondo already kicked off their poster series with prints for Black Widow and Hawkeye (with more coming sometime this week). Now Target is getting in on the fun with a cool series of ads from Wieden + Kennedy that take various products sold in their stores (including toys of the assembled comic book heroes and lots of Dr. Pepper) and combined them to form various shapes representing heroes like Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man himself. They're quite impressive. Look! ›››

Gallery 1988 Unveils Art from Upcoming Exhibition for 'The Avengers'
Mondo kicked off their celebration of the forthcoming release of The Avengers with a couple of posters for Hawkeye and Black Widow last week, but they're not the only ones getting in on the hype surrounding this unprecedented assembly of superheroes. Gallery 1988 (who have hosted art exhibitions celebrating Bill Murray and Alfred Hitchcock most recently) are hosting an event at an all new location in Los Angeles between May 3rd through May 6th. There will be a handful of limited screenprints and even more limited digital prints from an artist lineup that includes Rhys Cooper, Dave Perillo and others. Look! ›››

Can You Identify All of the Heroes from the Superhero Film Alphabet?
If you've been reading for a little while, then you may have been part of the fun in figuring out various decades of the film alphabet, and even some of the ABC's of horror and sci-fi. Now artist Stephen Wildish has taken the time to craft yet another journey through letters, but this time assembling a bunch of superheros that would make The Avengers blush. Though previous installments have had some challenges with the minimal drawings, especially with sparsely used letters like "Z" and "X," The Superhero Film Alphabet doesn't seem to be as difficult. But there are definitely some tricky letters in there. Look below! ›››

See LG's Awesome 3D Poster Ads for Their 3D Sound Home Theater
Aside from the few lenticular posters that end up in movie theaters from time to time, there's no denying that movie posters are flat, and sometimes in more ways than just being two-dimensional pieces of paper. But what if you could see around the singular images we see on movie posters? A brilliant mind in advertising though the same thing and used it to advertise the LG's new Home Theater 3D Sound, which aims to have the sound of your films encapsulate your senses just as 3D televisions do. Kill Bill, Forrest Gump and Pretty Woman get the 3D poster treatment below, but I'd love to see more sometime soon. ›››
